The Clippers had dropped three consecutive games and six of their last seven on the road following their collapse against Phoenix on Tuesday. This made Harden's vintage performance particularly timely, especially with Kawhi Leonard, Derrick Jones Jr., and Norman Powell sidelined due to injuries. Harden scored 23 of his points in the first quarter, making it the fourth instance this season where he scored 20 points or more in a single quarter. Harden showcased nearly all his signature moves, drawing fouls on several 3-point attempts in the first quarter. He successfully made 6 out of 13 three-point shots. Avoiding midrange shots, he matched his season-high with eight field goals in the paint. Bogdan Bogdanovic contributed 23 points and Ivica Zubac scored 22 points along with 11 rebounds for the Clippers, who were playing on the second night of consecutive games. Cade Cunningham scored 37 points and contributed 10 assists for the Pistons, who experienced only their second loss in 12 games. They are set to visit Golden State on Saturday, March 8. The LA Clippers returned to their winning ways, snapping their three-game losing streak by dominating the Utah Jazz with a score of 130-110. Norman Powell and Ivica Zubac each scored 26 points. The Croatian center was nearly unstoppable, hitting 13 out of 16 shots and adding 15 rebounds, completing another double-double performance. Recently selected for his 11th All-Star appearance, James Harden scored 23 points and distributed the rock well by delivering a season-high 17 assists. Jordan Clarkson had a strong start, netting 14 of his 24 points in the first quarter. The Jazz made 8 of 18 three-pointers in that quarter but only connected on 9 of 25 for the remainder of the game. Utah had 20 turnovers, which led to 24 points for the Clippers. Keyonte George added 21 points coming off the bench, and Johnny Juzang scored 19. After an impressive first quarter with a team score of 42 points, the LA Clippers saw their 22-point lead vanish in the second quarter, then saw themselves falling behind by 13 in the third, and despite a late rally, ultimately lost to the Indiana Pacers with a final score of 119-112. Gradually integrating himself into the team with restricted minutes, Kawhi Leonard played a season-high 33 minutes in a losing effort, scoring 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter. Ivica Zubac achieved another double-double with 18 points and 15 rebounds, while James Harden contributed 22 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. Pascal Siakam led the charge for the Pacers as the All Star from Cameroon recorded a double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds. Bennedict Mathurin contributed 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyrese Haliburton netted 9 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter, finishing the game with 8 assists and 4 steals. The Pacers' defense stifled the Clippers, causing 19 turnovers, which Indiana turned into an impressive 32 points. Luka's presence alone served as a source of motivation, with the team in purple and gold fully committed from start to finish. They were aggressive in their offense, amassing 73 points by halftime and leading the Clippers by as much as 31 points. LeBron James was a masterpiece in action, setting the tempo that ignited a 10-0 run in the first quarter. The King concluded the game with 26 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals, while both Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves contributed 20 points each. Clipper stars Kawhi Leonard and James Harden struggled, shooting a combined 6-23 from the field and 1-7 from three-point range. Coach Ty Lue shared his disappointment post-game: "We’re just not getting off to good starts. We’re not locking in defensively. Allowing 45 points in the first quarter is simply too much. In a tightly contested game featuring 14 lead changes and 17 ties, the Clippers exhibited perfection from the free-throw line, converting all 28 of their attempts for a flawless 100% success rate.
