The Clippers' nine-game home winning streak ended with a 108-80 loss to the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves. After a stretch of home games, the Clippers struggled against the Wolves' impressive first-half performance and tempo. By halftime, they were down by 27 points and couldn't close the gap.

Julius Randle scored 16 of his 20 points in the first quarter, but it was the Timberwolves' defense that forced 23 turnovers and held the Clippers to just 32 points in the first half, the fewest first-half points allowed by any Wolves team since 2015. They expanded their lead to as much as 41 points before comfortably cruising to the end.

Backup guard Bones Hyland spearheaded the Clippers with 18 points during their third game in four nights, following a back-to-back schedule, amid the absence of crucial players due to injuries.

Kevin Porter missed his third consecutive game with a sprained left ankle, while Powell, the team's leading scorer with an average of 23.9 points per game, rested. Powell had participated in two consecutive games, including the night before, after being out for six games due to a left hamstring injury.
