REPORT

Apple Reportedly Cancels Mac-connected AR Glasses Due to Poor Internal Reviews

Apple has reportedly canceled its Mac-connected AR glasses, codenamed N107, due to performance issues and shifting design goals. With a possible 2027 release, the device was meant to be a more accessible alternative to the Vision Pro. Despite this setback, Apple is expected to integrate aspects of the technology into future projects.

HARDWARE

OpenAI’s Hardware Ambitions Include AI-Powered XR and Humanoid Robots

OpenAI has filed a trademark application for AI-powered VR headsets, AR glasses, humanoid robots, and smart wearables, signaling a possible entry into the spatial computing hardware market. While prototypes may be years away, the move could put OpenAI in direct competition with Meta and Apple in the next computing paradigm.
