The Americans shook off their very publicized loss against Mexico a few days ago and started the game strong, scoring all three goals in the first half giving Colombia no chance to recover with the final scoreline at 3-0.
Albeit goalless in the last 11 months or so, Alex Morgan remains to be a pest among soccer defenders. A miscommunication in the Colombian midfield led to a Morgan interception and a one-two play with Lindsey Horan, a foul from defender Jorelyn Carabali inside the box resulted in a penalty. Horan, the USWNT captain, converted to score the home team's first goal in the 10'.

The American soccer legend found herself deep in the Colombian defense again in 22' flicking an assist using her head to a sprinting Jenna Nighswonger, doubling the lead for the US.

USWNT put the game out of reach before the first half whistle. A low cross from Trinity Rodman found Jaedyn Shaw tucking the ball on the net making it 3-0.
The Colombian's had more ball possession at 56% with three shots on goal. But USWNT's last line of defense is Alyssa Naeher. The seasoned goalkeeper with 100 caps under her belt, made two world class saves in the second half that kept the visitors scoreless.
USWNT will face border rivals Canada this Wednesday, March 6 at 7 PM Pacific Time at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. The game is available to stream via Paramount+ and Fubo.
