UCLA Football Dishes Out Assist to Filipino Community

LOS ANGELES—-A fundraiser organized by the Philippine Independence Day Foundation (PIDF), the Filipino Young Leaders Program (FYLPRO) and Mabuhay Credit Union took place at the UCLA Pilipino Heritage game against Washington State at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

The fundraiser, which started with a tailgate gathering, aims to support Filipino organizations. It was attended by hundreds of kababayans that included Filipino UCLA alumni's and their families.

A specially priced ticket comes along with a commemorative shirt that was designed by UCLA Athletics.

PIDF chairman Frederick Alain Docdocil hopes that the UCLA gathering will be an annual event celebrating Filipino heritage and culture. And together with Mabuhay credit union, expect them to be there to support the Filipino community.
