Determined to secure their first home victory in front of their fans, the LA Clippers pulled out all the stops in an attempt to overcome the youthful, tenacious, and unbeaten Oklahoma City Thunder.
Game Highlights from the NBA's YT Channel
The Clippers kicked off the game with a solid start, spearheaded by James Harden's leadership. Despite not scoring heavily, he secured another double-double, tallying 12 points and 13 rebounds, with seven of those rebounds coming in the first quarter itself.
Norman Powell remains an impressive scorer, tallying 24 points with a 9-of-14 shooting performance from the field. However, he acknowledged postgame the necessity to maintain their momentum throughout the entire 48 minutes, as the Clippers, despite starting strong, succumbed to a fourth-quarter surge by the OKC Thunder, resulting in a 105-92 loss.
Maintaining an undefeated streak in their first six games, the Oklahoma City Thunder has achieved their best start in the franchise's history. All-Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander spearheaded the offense with 25 points, nine assists, and three rebounds, while Chet Holmgren secured a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Collectively, the OKC Thunder excelled on defense, forcing the Clippers to commit 20 turnovers.
