Superstar duo Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving came up clutch again in the last five minutes of regulation as the Dallas Mavericks toppled the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-107.
They now lead the Western Conference Finals series 3-0.
Doncic and Irving each finished with 33 points and outscored the entire Timberwolves team in the fourth quarter.
The Mavericks are without their blue collared rookie Dereck Lively II. The 20-year-old center left the game in the 2nd quarter after taking an inadvertent knee from Karl Anthony Towns to the back of his head.

He appeared dazed and wobbled as Markieff Morris helped him walk to the locker room. Lively averaged 8.7 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks off the bench in 14 playoff games before Sunday. There is currently no update on his status for Game 4 from the Dallas team as of this writing.
Anthony Edwards, vocal about his aggressiveness prior to tip off, came up big in a losing effort with 26 points 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Winner for photo of the year, dunk of the year and block of the year as voted by the NBA Fan Awards 2024, Antman posterized Mavs center Daniel Gafford with an emphatic dunk in the third quarter.
Timberwolves big man Karl Anthony Towns continued his shooting woes. The all-star center finished with 14 points on 5 for 18 shooting and 0 out of 8 attempts from 3-point range.
"I've got to laugh," Towns said after the game. "I'm putting up to 1,500 shots a day. Shot so well all playoffs, confidence extremely high. To be having these unfortunate bounces and these looks that are just not going in, it's tough. It's tough, for sure. I'm good confidence-wise. Just gotta keep shooting."
The Mavericks could close down the series at home on Tuesday, May 28. Coverage begins at 7:30 PM and broadcasted live by TNT.
