Gotham FC secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Angel City FC before a crowd of 18,465 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday night. Forward Esther Gonzalez led the triumph with her second consecutive two-goal performance in the National Women’s Soccer League match.
González initiated the scoring at BMO Stadium with a shot from within the box that bounced off the post in the 18th minute. She secured her second goal by heading in a corner kick from Sarah Schupansky in the 75th minute.

Gotham (2-2-1) went ahead 2-0 when Miyabi Moriya accidentally scored an own goal after an odd deflection sent the ball over Angel City goalkeeper Angelina Anderson in the 67th minute. Geyse later netted her first NWSL goal in the 85th minute, making the score 4-0.
This victory marked Gotham's largest shutout win in club history and their biggest regular-season road win ever. Angel City's record is now 2-2-1. Their next game is against the Orlando Pride, away, on April 25, with a kickoff at 5 PM Pacific Time, broadcast live on Prime Video.
