With Kahwi Leonard missing from a left adductor strain and head coach Ty Lue ejected early in the 4th quarter, Norman Powell went nuclear. The Clippers' sixth man candidate sank four 3-pointers in the final 7:03 and finished the game with 21 points. "I think if you put your mindset to that and take all the distractions and whatever is going on in the game out of your mind, you just focus on making winning plays and the moment in front of you, things like that happen because you’re just playing off instincts and the things you work on. Today was a similar situation.” Powell said post-game.
Paul George scored 24 points before fouling out while James Harden added 26 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Stephen Curry scored 41 points for the Warriors and became the first player in NBA history to make seven or more 3-pointers in four straight games.
Asked on what he thinks about the decades long battle with James Harden and Russel Westbrook, Curry stressed: "It’s always special," . "Me and James the same draft... Had a lot of battles back and forth over the years. Russ in there, PG, we’re all still trying to play at a high level… There’s a lot of mutual respect. There’s a lot of competition, too. Hate losing to them, I think they feel the same way."
The Clippers improve to a 36-17 win-loss card and will face the Oklahoma City Thunder after the all-star break on February 22.
