It was a historic day in the world of basketball as the Los Angeles Clippers and their fans stepped onto the court of their brand new $2 billion Intuit Dome arena for the very first time.

The Clippers, sans Kawhi Leonard (knee rehab) played as beautiful as the new arena and blew out the visiting Mavericks 110-96, who were also without Luka Doncic (calf contusion) and Kyrie Irving (rest).

Six Clippers finished in double figures including an impressive Kai Jones who entertained the fans with high flying dunks and nasty blocks.

With Kawhi not suiting up for the remaining preseason games and his status uncertain for the season opener, the Clippers offered a glimpse tonight and a lot of potential demonstrating cohesiveness and teamwork-on both ends of the floor.
