“Clipped”

A piece I created for a “Racism and Inequality” project. It presents an image of an African American woman who can no longer fly because her wings have been clipped. The inability to fly signifies the lost opportunity for slave descendants to have a lineage since their ancestors were not allowed to read or write, therefore clipping their ability to create a lineage.
