After their hopes of making the playoffs took an unexpected turn, Angel City FC played with nothing but pride and ended their last home game this season with a nail-biting 1-1 draw against Utah Royals, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

The visiting squad opened up the scoring in the 21' off a freekick from midfielder and birthday celebrant Claudia Zornoza. The Spanish international curved the ball from the 25-yard line sneaking into the left post to beat ACFC GK Didi Haračić.
With the support of 20,039 home fans at BMO Stadium that attended Fan Appreciation Night Celebrations, Angel City FC came in firing at the second half with more pass completions and a midfield that attacks with purpose.

US Women's National Team legend and supersub Sydney Leroux equalized for Angel City FC off a headed short pass from defender Gisele Thompson. The seasoned veteran trapped the ball on her chest before looping in a sensational volley just outside the penalty box in the 57'.

Utah Royal kept Angel City FC 's defense busy all night peppering GK Didi Haračić and the home team with 21 attempts, 10 of which were on target. Haračić held Angel City FC's fort well, making nine saves including two clutch ones in the second half that kept the scoreline deadlocked at one apiece.
