LOS ANGELES—-Happy Mother’s Day. Before anything else, tell your mother you love her.
It’s a sunny day at BMO Stadium, and I’m thinking about all that my mother gave me (other than a beautiful smile and an insane face card).
Angel City FC, a club known not only for its prowess on the field but also for its commitment to social causes, showcased cherished "mom moments" at the arena's jumbotron. From heartwarming hugs to jubilant victories, the club made sure that each image captured the essence of maternal love and support.
In addition to the visual tribute, the club passed out exclusive captain armbands as a surprise to the first 10,000 fans in attendance. Club investor and actress Jennifer Garner, dubbed as the club's official "soccer mom", led the cheerleading against the visiting Houston Dash.
Not only did the club honor Mother's Day, but it also celebrated its annual Asian American and Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Heritage Night. Angel City FC, through its Community Impact Events recently concluded a week full of volunteer activities that included food distribution to an Asian Youth Center.

To commemorate Asian American and Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month, special edition caps were also given out. Filipino-American a cappella group The Filharmonic graced the stands with their angelic melodies and performed the national anthem.
