“I am so excited to continue my career with Angel City,” says Leroux. “Los Angeles has truly become home for me and my family and I wouldn’t want to play anywhere else. The community the club has built is incredible and I look forward to playing many more games in front of the best fans in the NWSL.”

The re-signing of the bonafide soccer star bolsters Angel City's attack composed of a young core in Jun Endo, Alyssa Thompson, Scarlett Camberos, Katie Johnson and Claire Emslie. A proven veteran, Sydney Leroux's resume includes a gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics and a 2015 FIFA World Cup winner with the USWNT.
COLLECTIVE EFFORT
As most of its members resume full training and back from international duty, the team looked cohesive in practice making them dangerous against opposing squads. The team under coach Tweed is on an unbeaten run since June 17th.
And with different names popping up scoring for Angel City FC in its last few games, coach Tweed stresses that "Every game is a group effort and it reflects that the team is lucky to have multiple players step up and contribute, painting a good picture of the team."
